About the Archive

The Scottish Sash & Case Window Archive is an educational project documenting the history, construction and conservation of traditional Scottish windows.

This is not a government or official heritage body. The archive aims to provide clear introductory information and encourage careful research. Editorial material should be reviewed against authoritative sources before being relied upon for protected-building decisions.

Editorial disclosure: this website is associated with the operator of sashandcasewindow.co.uk, a commercial sash-window service.
